Dear Friends,

This year Mojave is celebrating a remarkable milestone — 150 years since our founding in 1876, when the Southern Pacific Railroad established our community as a vital connection point to the Tehachapi Mountains and beyond. This anniversary is an opportunity to honor our history, our resilience, and the people who continue to shape Mojave’s story.

We will commemorate this sesquicentennial during Gold Rush Days, taking place October 2-4, 2026, at Mojave East Park. The weekend will feature a community dance, a parade, family activities, an art show, local vendors, and Sunday church services followed by a barbeque lunch. All events are free and open to the public.

To make this celebration truly special, we are seeking sponsors and volunteers who want to support Mojave’s heritage and help bring this event to life. Sponsorship opportunities include:

  • Gold — $1,000

    • Company name on commemorative tote bags, company logo on event banners and print and social media, complimentary parade entry and pre-parade breakfast.

  • Silver — $750

    • Company name and logo on street pole banners along K Street and print and social media, plus complimentary parade entry and pre-parade breakfast.

  • Burro — $500

    • Company name and logo on parade route banners, print and social media, and complimentary parade entry and pre-parade breakfast.

  • Iron Horse — $250

    • Company name and logo on print and social media and complimentary parade entry and pre-parade breakfast.
