Semilla ProgramRGCDC(SVEDC) is proud to announce the launch of Semilla, a six-month food entrepreneur program created to giveearly-stage food business owners the knowledge, tools, and honest guidance they need to build something real. The program launches April 20, 2026, and applications are open now through April 13, 2026. Too many talented food entrepreneurs invest significant time and money before they have a clear picture of what their business truly requires. Semilla was created to change that. Through a structured six-month journey, participants will evaluate their concept with honesty and rigor, develop the foundational business skills every food entrepreneur needs, and finish the program with the clarity to move forward confidently, refine their approach, or redirect before making costly commitments. Trainings are offered both virtually and in-person on a weekly basis, making the program accessible to entrepreneurs across the region. Semilla welcomes home cooks and recipe creators ready to go beyond the kitchen, cottage food and market vendors looking to grow, food truck and pop-up operators working toward their next stage, and early-stage food founders within their first two years of business. The program is offered at $200 per month, and a stipend is available for participants who meet all program requirements, including attending all trainings, completing assignments, and meeting regularly with their assigned advisor. Candidates will be selected by the program team. Applications close April 13, 2026.
