Haas Automation Begins Vertical Construction on Henderson, NV Manufacturing Facility

Haas Automation is North America's largest manufacturer of CNC machine tools and one of the top 5 producers worldwide. Haas machine tools are utilized by companies across the U.S. and globally in a wide variety of industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, agriculture, energy, defense, and consumer products. Nearly every precision metal component produced today is made on a CNC machine.

The new factory in Nevada represents a significant investment for Haas. Haas already has invested more than $100 million in site acquisition and development and will add more than $300 million in construction work over the next two years. Additionally, Haas will attract other high-tech companies to the area and is expected to create hundreds of jobs in just the first couple of years.

Haas Automation founder and CEO Gene Haas isn’t new to Nevada. Since 2020, the Gene Haas Foundation has been a part of Henderson and the Southern Nevada community, providing nearly $12 million dollars in charitable grants to local-area non-profits. This is an important part of Haas Automation’s commitment to the region and helps support dozens of deserving schools and non-profits such as Goodwill of Southern Nevada, Three Square, Boys and Girls Club of Southern Nevada, First Nevada, College of Southern Nevada, and many more.

Haas Automation has also invested heavily in education over the past 25 years. In Nevada that includes partnerships with schools, helping ensure a pipeline of manufacturing workers for the future. Programs include manufacturing training at high schools in the CCSD system, machinist training at community colleges in the CSN and Great Basin systems, and engineering education at UNLV.
