BBB and First National Bank 1870 Partner for Bi-Annual Fall Shred Day

September 24, 2024 Albuquerque, N.M. – The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is partnering with First National Bank 1870,
part of Sunflower Bank, N.A., to host its bi-annual Shred Day event this fall. First National Bank 1870, is committed to
providing tailored financial solutions for the communities it serves.
First National Bank 1870 offers a full range of relationship-focused services to support personal, business, and wealth
management objectives. These services include commercial and specialty banking, wealth management, and
comprehensive business and personal financial solutions.
As cybersecurity threats such as hacking, malware, and ransomware continue to rise, banks like First National Bank
1870 are proactive in helping their customers manage these risks. While shredding sensitive documents and recycling e-
waste are effective ways to safeguard personal information, additional measures can provide even greater protection.
One such offering from First National Bank 1870 is cyber liability insurance. This type of coverage is designed to provide
financial support in the event of a cyber breach or significant data loss. It may also include training and loss-control
measures to help reduce the risk of a breach or mitigate its effects.
"First National Bank 1870 is proud to partner with the BBB to support our community's efforts to safeguard their
sensitive information,” said David Swope, President and CEO of BBB. "Shred Day provides an important opportunity for
individuals and businesses to securely dispose of their confidential materials while raising awareness about the
importance of cybersecurity."
