Chamber Bucks Promotion Issues Nearly $10,000 in Two Days

As the Carroll Chamber of Commerce continues to promote the idea of choosing Carroll businesses for shopping, dining, education and more, the Chamber is proud to announce they’ve issued close to $10,000 in Chamber Bucks during their recent Holiday Chamber Bucks promotion.

“Chamber Bucks connect with our #ChooseCarroll campaign because they ensure those dollars are staying right here, in our community, with our Chamber members,” explains Shannon Landauer, Executive Director of the Carroll Chamber of Commerce.

The Holiday Chamber Bucks promotion was held Thursday and Friday, December 14 and 15. Purchases of $50 or more in Chamber Bucks qualified buyers to receive a free #ChooseCarroll shirt.

“Up until this promotion, we hadn’t made our #ChooseCarroll shirts available to the public, so this was a nice incentive for anyone looking to buy Chamber Bucks for the holidays. And the great thing about Chamber Bucks is their flexibility, they can be used at any of the Chamber’s almost 400 members, and again, those dollars stay right here in Carroll,” adds Landauer.

Landauer added that many local businesses support the program, using Chamber Bucks as employee holiday gifts, safety bonuses, employee rewards and more.

“It brings full circle the idea that when you spend $100 in Carroll, $68 of that stays local,” explains Landauer. Recently, the Chamber and Western Iowa Networks released a video explaining this $100 spending concept and the cycle of dollars spent staying local. The video includes testimonials from four businesses about the importance of keeping dollars in the Carroll community, and can be found on the Chamber’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CarrollChamber.

Annually more than $50,000 in Chamber Bucks are issued by the Carroll Chamber of Commerce. Chamber Bucks can be purchased during Chamber business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 – 5:00 p.m.
