When and how was the modern sense of personality and self-created? This has been a topic of historical debate for quite some time. One consensus that has arisen centers on the Renaissance and Reformation as formative. What exactly took place during these time periods that gave birth to a modern sense of identity? How was the notion of individuality, in a sense, created? This class will examine these two historical epochs to answer these questions. The class is $17.
