Beginning with 25 founding members who were all employees of Clark County government secured a state charter and officially began doing business as Clark County Credit Union in 1951.
The first 'branch office' was a small wooden table, chair and a cash box located just outside the evidence vault in the county building in downtown Las Vegas.
The branch opened at noon on Fridays and closed at the end of the day, whereupon all the furniture and records were locked up again until the following week.
