Alluma is a private, non-profit organization established in 1962. We are a certified community mental health center that serves individuals, children, and families in northwestern Minnesota. Our organization provides a full range of mental and chemical health care services.

In January 2017, Alluma was designated as one of six Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics in Minnesota. Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics(CCBHCs) were created through the Excellence in Mental Health Act demonstration program to expand Americans’ access to mental health and addiction care in community-based settings. The federal demonstration project is measuring how well an integrated community clinic model of care can improve service quality and accessibility. CCBHCs take a person-centered approach that looks at the whole health (physical health, mental health, and social service needs) of the individual. They provide a comprehensive set of services that promote recovery, wellness, and trauma-informed care. CCBHCs serve adults, adolescents, and children, as well as placing a special emphasis on active and veteran military care.

Alluma has more than 125 staff members who represent psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health professionals, mental health practitioners, peer recovery specialists, and administrative professionals. We work with a team of professionals throughout the community to assure that those seeking assistance receive the best possible options for their care, recovery, and wellness.
