Welcome K-REDI
K-REDI is the only organization solely dedicated to retention, expansion, and recruitment of manufacturing, technology, education and healthcare businesses for Kirksville and the surrounding community.
Kirksville has a wonderful quality of life. Seldom will you find a community with a population less than 20,000 that displays sophistication and culture. Metropolitan style with a small city smile.
Take a look at our Community Profile and youll see rich diversity. Our two institutions of higher education present art and cultural experiences. Events like the Red Barn Arts and Crafts Festival and our Arts Center reveal our interest in music, art, crafts, theater and other presentations.
Our downtown area is the traditional setting with a County Courthouse in the middle of the town square and an eclectic group of downtown coffee shops, eateries, antique and specialty shops. There are also traditional high-volume retail stores and franchise restaurants.
If you love the outdoors, you will love Kirksville. We have an abundance of green space, which includes Hazel Creek Lake, Rotary Park and the North Park Ball Complex. Thousand Hills State Park is located just outside city limits offering hiking, biking, jogging, canoeing, boating, and fishing. Kirksville boasts some of the finest whitetail deer and turkey hunting found anywhere in the country.
In addition to recreation choices, add a world class healthcare system and a nationally recognized K-12 educational system with two universities for advanced degrees. Kirksville is a wonderful place to work, play, and live. Check us out in the Kirksville Community Profile, or better yet, come see us and find out for yourself!
