The Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra (LTSO) was founded in September 2000. The mission of the LTSO is to be a first-class community orchestra, to provide classical music entertainment in the City of Lone Tree, Colorado, and to enable musicians from Lone Tree and neighboring areas to perform classical music at a high standard, thus enriching the life of the community.
Our orchestra is comprised of several professional musicians leading our string and percussion sections with the remainder of our members being volunteers. Most of us are engaged in non-music related careers but come from a strong music background. Many of us played throughout college, with quite a few of us taking our very first music lesson in early elementary school. Because we love playing, and music is such a relevant part of our lives, we come together to practice and perform.
Due to the generous support of the City of Lone Tree and the Lone Tree Arts Commission, we are able to offer our concerts at a very low admission fee. We feel that this very low admission fee encourages many families with young children to attend and provides us with a broad and diverse audience.
We are grateful for the financial contributions of our patrons, and are happy to invite individuals and businesses to pursue sponsorship in our orchestra.
