Lindon City is a full-service suburban community located 45 minutes south of Salt Lake City. Nestled below beautiful Mount Timpanogos, Lindon is an attractive destination for residents and businesses alike. Lindon supports hundreds of businesses and is rich in outdoor recreation opportunities with multiple parks, trails, and amenities. With a population of 10,600, the city was honored in 2009, 2011, and 2013 when CNN Money Magazine ranked Lindon within the "100 Best Small Cities to Live In America".
The City, under the traditional form of government, consists of a governing body of the Mayor and five Council Members. The Mayor and Council exercise all legislative powers of the City. The Mayor, with the advice and consent of the City Council, appoints qualified persons to serve in the offices of City Recorder and City Treasurer.
The City currently employs approximately 46 full-time employees and 22 part-time employees or 56 full-time equivalent employees on staff. This equates to approximately one employee per 180 residents. This is an excellent ratio for a City of its size and is evidence of prudent management.
