Rediscover Cayce

Cayce is proud of its rich historical heritage, including as part of its city limits the site of one of the earliest European settlements in the Midlands. Cayce is also home to the Fort Granby site, where several important Revolutionary War battles were fought. In 1914, when the city was formed, the name Cayce was chosen to honor one of its prominent citizens, William J. Cayce.

Today, Cayce is the home to more than 13,000 citizens. With easy access to Interstates 20, 26 and 77 and adjacent to the Columbia Metropolitan Airport, Cayce offers quick access to jobs, shopping, entertainment and the world. Cayce's convenient location means residents and visitors alike are just minutes away from the numerous cultural and recreational amenities of the Midlands.

The Congaree River has always played a dominant role of strategic importance in Cayce's development. Through the joint effort of the City of Cayce and the River Alliance, the Cayce Riverwalk along the Congaree provides a peaceful and natural setting for walking, jogging, and enjoying nature. Development on both sides of the river remains a driving force in the City's continuing economic development.

We hope you will "Rediscover Cayce" and look at the benefits of our "New Kind of City!"
