The Hartford Branch of Siouxland Libraries has a rich history, first established in 1960. After moving to the West Central school in 1984, it relocated to its current address at 119 North Main in 2019. In 2023, the City of Hartford acquired the building from the Hartford Senior Center and undertook renovations that significantly expanded the library's size.

This branch offers a variety of essential services, including convenient book returns, curbside pickup, and an Expanded Access program for extended hours. Patrons can utilize faxing services, public computers, printing facilities, and free public Wi-Fi. The library also provides a comprehensive collection of books and digital resources, alongside diverse programs and educational opportunities for all age groups.
