The roots of the Palmer Library trace back to a humble Colony tent in the late 1930s, growing alongside the community it serves. Formally organized in 1945 and officially recognized in 1946, the library moved through several locations before settling into its permanent home in 1985, supported every step of the way by committed volunteers and friends. Active since 1980, Friends of the Palmer Public Library, Inc. proudly continues this long tradition of community involvement, ensuring the library remains a vibrant, welcoming, and well-supported resource for generations to come.
