When I was a young girl, a loved one became so seriously ill that I had to leave my family home and live in foster care while they sought the right treatments and applied for Social Security Disability benefits. With a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work and Public Administration, I have worked in a wide range of settings, including psychiatric hospitals, behavioral health organizations, foster care agencies, adoption services, homeless shelters, and government social service programs.
