Colorado County Fair Association, Inc. champions the spirit of community celebration and agricultural heritage in Colorado County. Founded in 1978, our nonprofit organization produces the annual Colorado County Fair and Rodeo at the Colorado County Fairgrounds in Columbus, TX. This vibrant event brings together families, local producers, 4?H and FFA youth, and visitors from across the region. Featuring livestock exhibitions, rodeo excitement, live entertainment, carnival attractions, contests, pageants, and a dynamic home economics showcase, the Fair has become a beloved tradition that highlights the best of rural life and fosters community pride.
Beyond the fairgrounds, we are deeply committed to supporting the future leaders of our community. Through scholarships and youth?focused initiatives made possible by funds raised from fair activities, the Colorado County Fair Association invests in educational opportunities for local students. In 2024, we awarded a total of $21,250 in scholarships, empowering young people to pursue higher education and leadership roles; this builds on previous scholarship support, such as the $21,250 awarded in 2021. As a volunteer?driven organization, we take pride in creating meaningful experiences that enrich lives, strengthen community bonds, and celebrate Colorado County’s rich traditions.
