Sack’s Ice Cream Truck is a family-owned business rooted in tradition, craftsmanship, and the simple joy of sharing ice cream with the community. Founded in 1988 by Dana Brodsack after his retirement from Greyhound Bus Lines, Sack’s Ice Cream was built from the ground up with a passion for creating memorable experiences. Dana personally designed and built a fleet of classic 1974–1979 step vans, delivering a nostalgic ice cream truck experience that delighted children and adults throughout Iowa for nearly four decades.

In 2019, Dana passed the torch by gifting a truck to continue the legacy he so lovingly created. Following his diagnosis with terminal cancer and his passing in 2024, the mission of Sack’s Ice Cream Truck lives on with renewed purpose. Now proudly operating in Saint Joseph, Missouri, and surrounding areas, we remain dedicated to bringing smiles, memories, and the timeless joy of the ice cream truck to every street corner. Our commitment honors Dana’s legacy of spreading happiness, one neighborhood at a time.
