Mesabi Metallics Company LLC, situated on over 16,000 acres in Nashwauk, Minnesota, is advancing the construction of a state-of-the-art iron ore mine and pelletization facility. This project is poised to produce 7 million metric tons of Direct Reduction (DR) grade iron ore pellets annually, with operations slated to commence in 2026. To date, the company has invested over $1.7 billion, with an additional $650 million planned to complete the project, marking one of the largest private investments in Minnesota's history.
