Minnesota Discovery Center

The Minnesota Discovery Center, located in Chisholm, Minnesota, serves as the Museum of the Iron Range, dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history and culture of the Iron Range community. Our mission is to connect visitors with the Iron Range's storied past while creating lasting memories that honor our region's unique history. Through engaging exhibits, educational programs, and community events, we strive to spark individual curiosity and inspire our community by experiencing the past to shape a better future.

As a private nonprofit organization, we are governed by a volunteer board of directors and guided by principles of excellence, service, respect, integrity, professionalism, and teamwork. Our 660-acre campus features a 33,000-square-foot museum, the Iron Range Research Center, and various recreational opportunities, including trolley tours, outdoor exhibits, and live music events. We encourage innovation and continuous improvement, providing warm and responsive service to all our guests, patrons, and team members.
