Kiwanis Club of Harker Heights

The Kiwanis Club of Harker Heights, founded in 1971, is a dedicated group committed to improving the lives of children in Central Texas communities. Our name, derived from an American Indian term meaning "we trade," reflects our ethos of sharing talents, fostering fellowship, and enjoying good times. With a diverse membership of men and women, we welcome visitors to our weekly meetings and encourage community members to join our cause.

Embracing Christian fellowship, our club provides a supportive environment where members engage in a variety of activities aimed at strengthening bonds and personal growth. We actively participate in international conventions and seminars, collaborating with other Kiwanis clubs to exchange ideas and enhance our skills. Through inter-club meetings with neighboring District 23 clubs, we forge valuable connections and leverage collective resources to serve our communities effectively.

Driven by our passion for children's well-being, the Kiwanis Club of Harker Heights supports numerous charitable initiatives and programs. From awarding scholarships to local high school seniors to partnering with organizations like the Children's Miracle Network and Ronald McDonald House, we are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in young lives. Our commitment extends to addressing global health challenges through contributions to Kiwanis International programs, such as IDD and Eliminate. Join us as we work together to nurture and empower the next generation, one child at a time.
