In the late 1980's the Bullhead City Bee printed its first paper. Armed with only a pen and paper, Tom McGraham kept the community-oriented newspaper rolling off the printing presses for 26 years. As the years changed, the newspaper industry began to turn its wheels into a more digital format. People were turning to their smartphones and tablets to get their news as it happened. In the early 2000's, the Bullhead City Bee began giving its readers the opportunity to read the news online using a website format, and then in 2014, they established their news Facebook page. For the next two years, residents in all of Mohave County were able to obtain breaking, up-to-date news right at the tips of their fingers. The Bullhead City Bee covered high profile stories from the Kingman Prison riots to the Justin Rector murder case. Over the next two years, the digital news world exploded like wildfire and the Bullhead City Bee became a popular news site to gather day-to-day happenings within Mohave County. But, as they say, good things come to an end. In December of 2016, the Bullhead City Bee printed their last issue and ceased with their social media reporting. Fast forward one year later two local business men, John Hassett and Steve LeSueur, collaborated together and asked, "Would the community keep reading and engaging with the stories if The Bee returned on social media? The numbers answered their question. With the desire to bring unbiased, breaking news and community journal ism back to the Bee's readership, the two decided to fire up the digital presses once again. The newly revised Bullhead City Bee transformed itself into The Bee, a digital media and advertising outlet for all of the Tri-State. The Bee has been a strong force on Facebook, Instagram, Twit-ter, and now TikTok bringing news to over 60,000 followers and a reach of over one million people from all over the world.

Our slogan is "Real People, Real News, in Real-Time" because the staft at The Bee wants to make sure the local community receives the news they need as it happens. The Bee also provides news on their website at www.thebee.news
