Stewart's Sewing Machines, established in 1964 in Decatur, IL by Chan Stewart, has been a cornerstone of the sewing community for decades. Following a distinguished Army career as a helicopter pilot, Chan embarked on a new journey, dedicating himself to the sales and maintenance of sewing machines. In 1996, embracing the evolving needs of their customers, Chan and his daughter, Jana Wrigley, co-owner, expanded their horizons by opening a quilt shop in Mt. Zion. Although we lost Mr. Stewart in 2018, his enduring legacy is carried forward by Jana and our exceptional team, who remain committed to providing the highest quality service and products.

At Stewart's Sewing Machines, we pride ourselves on offering a comprehensive range of sewing products and services. Our inventory includes a variety of high-quality fabrics, standard straight-stitch machines, embroidery machines, sergers, and sewing cabinets from Koala and Tailormade. We are an authorized service center for Babylock, Janome, Elna, and Juki machines, with all repairs conducted on-site at our Mt. Zion location. Our extensive selection of quilt books, patterns, and embroidery designs caters to both novice and experienced sewers. Our knowledgeable sales staff and educators are dedicated to supporting your sewing and quilting endeavors through a wide array of classes and "How To" seminars, ensuring that your creative needs are met with expertise and enthusiasm.
