Attain Housing
Attain Housing is a dedicated non-profit organization addressing the critical issue of homelessness in King County, where over 30,000 individuals grapple with housing insecurity annually. The root cause lies in the scarcity of affordable housing, as a family of four now requires an average income exceeding $100,000 to secure housing on the Eastside. Focused on homeless and at-risk families with children, Attain Housing first stabilizes these families in 37 Attain Housing apartments and externally-owned units. Then, through comprehensive services such as case management, the organization facilitates lasting life changes, guiding families toward permanent housing solutions.
In 2021, Attain Housing's transitional housing program played a pivotal role in supporting 45 families, consisting of 50 adults and 80 children. Notably, the majority of these families were led by single mothers escaping domestic violence situations, emphasizing the organization's critical role in breaking the cycle of abuse. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, Attain Housing relies on tax-deductible donations to fuel its mission. This community-driven support enables the organization to continue making a tangible impact on the lives of homeless families in King County.
Attain Housing invites individuals and businesses alike to join in the commitment to building a more compassionate and equitable community. By addressing the immediate needs of families and providing them with the tools for lasting change, together we can create a community where every family has the opportunity to attain stable and secure housing.
