Kingman FIRST Robotics
Welcome to Kingman FIRST Robotics, home of Team 60, a thriving community FIRST Robotics Competition team located in Kingman, Arizona. Established in 1996, Team 60 celebrated its 25th season in 2022, proudly shaping the future of robotics enthusiasts. Comprising students from various schools in the Kingman area, including Kingman High School, Lee Williams High School, Kingman Academy of Learning High School, White Cliffs Middle School, and Kingman Middle School, our team welcomes curious minds from 7th to 12th grade.
Each year, our members embark on an exhilarating journey, receiving a new challenge in January and working tirelessly for 6-8 weeks to design, engineer, prototype, build, program, and test a robot before our first regional event in March. Our commitment extends beyond competitions, as we operate year-round, fostering a collaborative environment where students engage in diverse projects and classes covering programming, soldering, electrical work, machining, mechanical concepts, photography, 3D printing, AutoCAD, and design.
At Kingman FIRST Robotics, it's more than just robots; it's about cultivating a passion for learning and giving back to the community. Throughout the year, we actively participate in community outreach and service events, contributing to causes like toy drives for local hospitals and library book sales. We also prioritize STEM education, conducting presentations for schools, community organizations, and local businesses to showcase the exciting world of robotics and its impact on students' lives and future careers.
