Easterseals is a distinguished organization located in Chicago, Illinois, dedicated to serving the community through two interconnected pillars of work: Early Learning and Disability. Their mission is to empower individuals of all abilities, including young learners, by providing expert educational, family, and community support. With a history dating back to 1936, Easterseals has been an integral part of the Chicagoland and Greater Rockford communities, continuously adapting and expanding their services to meet the evolving needs of their constituents. As an affiliate of America's largest nonprofit healthcare organization, Easterseals brings a wealth of experience and expertise to their endeavors.

At the helm of Easterseals is Sara Ray Stoelinga, who assumed the role of President and CEO in 2019. Her extensive background in education research, practice, and policy, acquired during her 22-year tenure at The University of Chicago Urban Education Institute, positions her as a visionary leader in the field. Stoelinga's academic journey includes a BA and PhD in sociology from the University of Chicago, and she has made significant contributions through publications, research reports, and books.
