Human Support Services (HSS) established in 1973 as a private nonprofit is Monroe County's only comprehensive mental and behavioral health organization.  Core offerings include outpatient mental health counseling, substance use disorder treatment services, and supports for those living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  

HSS is proud of our partnerships with local schools, area law enforcement and the community as a whole. 

By remaining true to our core values of community, courage and resilience HSS breaks cycles of poverty, reconnects families, facilitates employment and offers purpose and belonging.  HSS is committed to its mission, "Helping All People Live Their Best Lives". 

HSS accepts private insurance, medicare and medicaid.  Services can also be billed on a sliding scale, thus removing barriers to access.
