The Rusty Goat
The Rusty Goat Guest House (built 2005) sits on the corner of the historic Brook House (built 1909) property. The Brook House is one of several stately homes, of varying style, built in the early 1900s. The neighborhood is a contrast of good and bad, neighborly and keep-it-to-myself, immaculate and junky - as you drive through you'll see everything in between. We're safe here with little to no crime.
Common critters in and around our neighborhood include cats, cardinals pairs, kite hawks, cats, deer, squirrels, the occasional raccoon, and a few more cats. So far, none of these have tried to make a meal out of our 9 chickens!
A cozy guest house minutes to the downtown square awaiting your visit to the true Heart of Texas. Charming stay close to shopping, dining and Brady Lake. Settle into and sip from a rocker overlooking green space, old stone walls and busy clutch of chickens. Lush king bed, oversized hot shower, full kitchen, Wi-Fi, plush seating, smart TV and soothing swim spa. Find wineries, brewhouses and hunting nearby. Rest, rejuvenate, discover Brady or jump-off to other parts of the northwest Hill Country.
