Mojave Springs School was formed in early 2017 in the Las Vegas Valley by a group of women who passionately believe in the deep-rooted philosophy of Waldorf education as well as providing educational diversity to our city.
Our school is the first school inspired by Waldorf education in Las Vegas, though we are part of an interconnected global Waldorf community. Waldorf education in the United States and Canada is overseen by the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America(WECAN) and the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America(AWSNA). In 2019, Mojave Springs School became an Associate member of WECAN and a Registered Initiative of AWSNA.
We began at the Springs Preserve, running parent/infant and parent/toddler groups, and opened for our first operational year as a preschool (ages 2-6) in August 2017. In 2018 we opened with two classes, a PreK (ages 2-4) and a Kindergarten class (ages 4-6). We purchased our own property and added grades in 2019 as the richness of the Waldorf pedagogy and educational methods continues to inspire our school and families in the Las Vegas community.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, operating under the Mojave Educational Foundation.
The daily school schedule is from 8:30 am- 3:00 pm.
Early Childhood, Kindergarten, and Grades school days are Monday and Friday.
