The Rotary Club of Downtown DeLand was founded by a forward-thinking group of DeLand Breakfast Rotarians who recognized the need for an evening club that better served local professionals. What began as casual weekly gatherings downtown evolved into a shared vision to expand Rotary’s reach, welcome new members, and strengthen service within the community. Officially chartered on July 1, 2004, and sponsored by the DeLand Breakfast Rotary Club, the club proudly carries forward Rotary’s legacy with a diverse and passionate membership committed to meaningful impact.

As one of the first clubs chartered during the Centennial Year of Rotary International, the Rotary Club of Downtown DeLand holds itself to the highest standards of service and giving. Every member is a Paul Harris Sustaining Member, reflecting a strong commitment to The Rotary Foundation and its global mission. Through signature fundraisers such as the Black Tie and Blue Jeans Gala and community favorites like the Great Bowls of Fire Chili Cook-Off, the club raises vital support for local families, students, and charities. Known throughout the area as the Grill Masters TM, the club continues to serve hands-on by helping other organizations succeed while proudly supporting DeLand and its surrounding community.
