Based in Las Vegas Nevada, serving the Southern Nevada area, and governed by a Board of Directors our club started in 1930 as the Prospector's Club and is one of the oldest recorded clubs of its kind in the United States.

The purpose of the club is to promote interest and education in the various earth sciences, mineralogy, gemology, and to foster the exchange of knowledge in the lapidary arts. We are a non-profit, community service organization.

We are members of the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies and the Rocky Mountain Federation of Mineralogical Societies.
