Friends Against Family Violence’s mission is to provide services to those impacted by family violence, increase offender accountability, and raise awareness of the impact of interpersonal violence on our families and community.

Domestic violence is characterized as a pattern of coercive behaviors that may include physical abuse, sexual abuse and psychological abuse. It affects people in all social, economic, racial, religious, and ethnic groups, whether they are married, divorced, living together, dating, or in a gay/lesbian relationship. Although anyone can be a victim of domestic violence, women are by far the most common victims.
